They're forcing me to see each flaw, I want a life immune from this
But I've taken a stance that they don't like

And if I've entitled my season to be barren, it's because of my self-interest and destiny now
It happened not for you, not for me, but for nobody.
 
But I'm not going to be part of the masses
I'm not one of these dogs 6
I'm not merchandise with a proposal of divestment in the name of globalisation 7

• 1. Sounds like a brag about his skills as a lyricist.
• 2. I'm guessing this means that he's got writer's block OR he keeps writing the same sort of lyric without a major creative breakthrough.
• 3. Either referring to fame or money.
• 4. Possibly a reference to radicalization or indocrination into a way of thinking.
• 5. As in, he's not going to stand down on this issue.
• 6. Does not refer to the animal here, but instead the word is used to mean someone very ugly.
• 7. I think this means he's not going to be bought easily by 'them'.
